Located in Philadelphia, PA, Amicus Therapeutics is establishing a state of the art facility that will strengthen its capabilities. This new Global Research and Gene Therapy Center of Excellence follows their recent entry into the area of Gene Therapy. It will be located close to the Penn Campus, in uCity Square, a 6.5M sq ft facility.

John F. Crowley, Chairman and CEO of Amicus Therapeutics, stated, “This Amicus Global Research and Gene Therapy Center of Excellence is an important next step in the evolution of our science, research and gene therapy capabilities. As Amicus continues to expand globally, my hope is that the great science to come from our research in Philadelphia will one day soon lead to medicines with the potential to alleviate an enormous amount of suffering.’

This new facility is planned to open later in 2019 and house about 200 research employees. In the meantime, an initial group of employees is already at working in temporary space.
